FSAI reduces salt in processed foods...reduces shelf life

Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has brought in the some food manufacturers in a legislation, which would cut down salt in processed and pre-prepared foods. The reduction for salt is reported to take place in meat products, salted puddings, baked foods, cereals, soups and sauces.

The aim as mentioned by the biggies at FSAI is to cut down the amount of salts in processed foods. It is hoped that the analysts at FSAI can compensate for the shelf life of products followed by a reduction of salt.
