Knipschildt's Chocolate Truffles: The most expensive chocolate in the world

The most expensive chocolate by Knipschildt Chocolatier costs $2600 per pound. This is a handmade chocolate made with 70 percent Valrhona cocoa powder rolled over French Black truffle, which is supposed to be a very costly ingredient. In a nutshell the chocolate is rich as it is filled with truffles and is surely a luxurious product.

This chocolate falls in the category of handmade artisan products, crafted for special occasion by the Chocolatier. I can only imagine the foray made by the chocolatier from truffle to truffles...bittersweet and pungent and it comes in a 10oz, gift box. It might no be equal to the expense added to dark chocolates added by diamonds, but imagine encrusting diamonds into already expensive truffles.
