Onion Pie: The rustic stuff

Nic caught up with the Rustic Onion Pie recipe, which Dan , 'The Next Food Network Star' had cooked in his cookery show. The recipe is really rustic with its utter simplicity, which lies in the very simple and lean dough made up of flour, water and olive oil; and in the simple stuffing made of sweet onions, salt and pepper. Soft onions in crispy pie crust have made up for many Italian get-togethers, but foodies can have it as an appetiser, side-dish or just as a snack. Nic has a problem with slicing the pies, but then separate onion pie-pockets can be made for the tender onions.
