Potatoes smeared in poppy seeds paste

In East Indian cuisine there is a wide use of poppy seeds as poppy seeds cool your tummy in summer. Poppy seeds are usually soaked in water and then grinded to make a fine paste. One of the most famous dish is potatoes in poppy seed paste.

Ingredients

Poppy Seed Paste

Chopped Potatoes

Mustard Seeds

Red chili Powder

Ginger-Garlic paste

Salt

Oil

Method

1. Take oil in a wok add mustard seeds, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder and potatoes. cook until potatoes are tender.

2. Add poppy seed paste and then stir in the properly and season with salt. Cook stirring continuously for 15 mins.

This delicacy works well with rice and bittergourd. You can substitute the same recipe for all other vegetables.
