Searing salmon with spices

Thanks Ian, this recipe is tempting and I am dying to indulge in it. It is lovely to have a wonderful condiment of seasoning smeared over any fish fillet. Though the recipe resembles the Indian fish fry recipe, the presence of salmon makes all the difference.

But Ian, it is better not to add the chili powder if you are adding paprika, as cinnamon, dry mustard and black pepper add a lot to the heat of the fish. It is advisable to rub the salmon fillets with lemon juice or vinegar before rubbing the spices onto it. Lemon juice will not only hold the spices on the surface of the fillet but also permeate into the pores of the salmon to enhance the flavor as you chew the flesh of salmon.
