Yellow lentils with green mangoes
Green mangoes have started popping-up in most of the local vegetable markets. With the onset of summer vegetable vendors will be piling-up different varieties of mangoes for pickles, curries, condiments, sauces, beverages, jams, salads and other food preparations. While green mangoes can be paired with almost any food-stuff, the boldest pairing comes out with yellow lentils. The recipe is as follows:

Ingredients
2 Raw Mangoes(gutted, peeled and sliced)
Yellow Lentils - 2 Cups
6 cups water
Crushed Garlic
Slitted Green chilies
Turmeric Powder
Oil
Salt
Method
1. Pressure cook green mangoes with yellow lentils, turmeric powder, water and salt until done.
2. Heat oil in a wok and fry crushed garlic and slitted green chilies. Pour cooked lentils into the wok.
3. Simmer the lentils and serve with white rice and fried fish.
