Could anyone tell me about low fat foods?

My teenage son has recently started going to the gym, and his fitness coach has advised him to take some fat burner supplements along with his regular workout regime for losing weight effectively. My son doesn't want to take supplements, as he doesn't like the taste! I would, therefore, like to know about a few low fat foods, which he could include in his diet, and he doesn't have to take the supplements. Could you guys please suggest?

Your concern is justified. Well, to start with I would suggest to begin including salads in the diet. Make the salads as leafy as possible. Put in lettuce, broccoli, capsicum, cabbage, and tomatoes in good quantities. If your son does not like the flavor of raw vegetables, use some condiments like black pepper and a coriander topping. Soybean chunks are also very effective as far as fat less food is concerned. They are rich in proteins and contains almost negligible fat. The best thing about soybean is that the chunks absorb any kind of flavor and hence can be used in a variety of recipes. Moreover, you can include pulses and lentils in diet. These would help reduce the extra weight and taste better than supplements. Pulses are also rich in proteins and whole pulses are a potent source of edible fiber. Fruits are also a good choice when it comes to diet-consciousness. A variety of fruit salads could make viable presence on the menu when choice is the issue. If possible, ask your son to have papaya. Papaya mainly consists of fiber. So, when consumed in considerable amounts, it reduces the desire to eat more. You start feeling full without even the regular intake of the main-course food. Make your son have juices during breakfast. When it comes to the intake of milk, skimmed milk is highly preferable. It reduces on the fat intake without compromising on the calcium part.
