Hi, I see that recently people are finding it difficult to decide for certain, what kind of food they should give their pert particularly dogs, which can be within budget as well as satisfy the need of the pet. Veg people are looking for vegan diets for dog which I think is not appropriate as dogs are typical carnivore. Their body setup is made to consume animal protein. So meat is always necessary. Here are a few recipes of raw dog food which you can make easily at home-
Raw meat / veggie meat ( this preparation is specially made for 100 pound Kuvasz dogs)
1/4 C plain yogurt
1/4-1/2 c chopped ground veggie like carrots, apples, broccoli, peas etc.
Skinned chicken leg quarter with bone
If the meat does not have much bone you can add calcium tablet also.
Rae beef/organ/veggie mix (for active springer specially)
2c raw ground beef or chicken
1C organ meat from grocery store
1C vegetables or fruits
Blend or mix all these together. You can use an egg with it also.
Raw beef stuffed in kongs
It includes 80% meat, 5% liver, 5% other organs, 10% edible bones. Sometimes vegetables are added with it too. Before giving raw meat to the dog make sure that this is germ or bacteria free.
One thing you must remember, never give your beloved pets these like grapes, raisins, onion, garlic, chocolate, artificial sweetener and artificial fats ever. These can not only make the dog ill but also can be fatal to it too.
