Yes, whole foods are very beneficial for our body. Many people tend to overlook the benefits that whole foods have, but they actually are beneficial in many ways. The most well known fact is that they cut down sugar and control diabetes. Other includes a reduced risk of heart attack. Researchers have discovered that eating whole grain breakfast cereals 7 times a week can reduce the chances of heart attack by up to 28%. Heart failure risk is very low in such people. The cereals which are made of whole grain contain minerals, vitamins and phytochemicals which are necessary and beneficiary for our health. They are high on polyunsaturated fats like Omega 3 lineloic acis and low on the dangerous saturated fats.
It is said that 1 out of every 3 people will get cancer at some point in their life. Studies show that if you eat five or more fruits and vegetables every day, this risk can be cut down to half. Eating whole foods also cut down the risk of heart attack. People who eat seven or eight vegetables or fruits per day are at lower risk of heart attack than those who eat only one or do not eat at all.
