This is important to know the special dishes included in the French cuisine to give it a perfect touch and ambiance. This would be a great surprise for your friend. I will surely help you with certain important and easy items that you must include in your French cuisine: 1. Hors d'oeuvres (Appetizers) A canape is a traditional french appetizer. I would like to mention here that the Crepes and canapes are the famous traditional french dinner appetizers. A crepe is basically a pancake made with flour, butter, sugar and eggs. A minute of cooking renders a pliable shell. This is then filled with sweet cheeses, chocolates, walnuts and fruit. To give the finishing touch, a caramelized glaze and whipped cream are used. 2.Potage et Ragout (Soups and Stews) This is a cream soup with herb garnish. You must know that the French soups and stews are rich concoctions with intriguing flavors. The Beef burgundy is a slow-cooked stew made with wine and cognac. It also makes use of the pungent herbs and spices. Add a companion meat, such as bacon for a complementary flavor dimension. 3.Plat Principal (Main Course) Souffles and seafood dishes are traditional French dinner staples. It is known that the Spinach is a favorite for soufflés as the leaves are light and won't weigh down. These ingredients are whisked together while sautéing to bring out flavors. Steamed mussels are an easy one-pan dish. 4.Vins (Wines) The ports and champagnes are known as the traditional French wines. These wines are excellent dessert or after-dinner wines, and particularly wild blackberry. Champagne comes exclusively from the Champagne region of the France. Its light, bubbly appearance and unique taste is great.
