Can somebody share about whole grain foods in detail?


A few days ago, I read about whole grain food, which is quite beneficial for overall health and fitness. I want to know if whole grain food helps in reducing weight as well! I would like to know about the list of whole grain foods, and their benefits in detail. I would also like to know where could I find the whole grain food in New York, as I am new to this city! Can somebody please tell me about whole grain foods in detail? I would really appreciate an apt response! Thanks.

Whole grains are the grains that contain whole grain and are unprocessed. Whole grain can be differentiated as refined and whole grains. You can simply differentiate between them in as differentiate the whole grain and whole wheat. As white bread is heavily processed and have fine texture without much flavor. On the other hand the whole wheat bread is denser and has more color and texture.

The list of common whole grain foods includes items that are easy to find in the supermarket. The grains are suitable for a vegetarian diet. But to be sure its better that you check the label before buying it. Some of the common whole grain products are bagels, tortillas, sliced bread, muffins, pita bread and dinner rolls.
