As you said that you want to know about some huge party food recipe for your kid's birthday party, so here goes a very creamy and thick, fruits make this kheer more delicious testy recipe and I hope your kids will love it.
Preparation time: - 35-45 minutes
Cooking time: - 25-30 minutes.
Ingredients:
7 cups: - Milk (full cream), 4 tablespoon: - Vanilla custard powder,
4 tablespoon: - Basmati rice, soaked, 3:- Bananas (elaichi),
11-16:- Red grapes, halved, 1 medium: - Apple, diced,
8-10:- sweet lime segments, peeled, 8-10:-Orange segments, peeled,
9 tablespoon: - Sugar, 2 tablespoon: - Butter, 7-8 strands: - saffron.
Method:
Now heat a pan and add drained rice and 6 cups of milk and let it come to a boil then reduce heat and cook, stirring continuously, so that the milk does not burn and take custard powder in a bowl, add the remaining milk and whisk. Halve the grapes and remove seeds and dice apple, peel and dice bananas. And heat butter in a pan then add apple, bananas, grapes, orange segments, sweet lime segments and one tablespoon sugar and stir and mix well and now cover and cook on low heat till the fruits soften. Add the custard powder mixture to the kheer once the rice is cooked and stir. Cook till thick and add the remaining sugar and stir till all the sugar dissolves. Add saffron and mix well and transfer the stewed fruits into the serving bowl and then pour the custard kheer over them. Sprinkle pomegranate pearls and serve. Chill or hot and enjoy!!!
