Can somebody please tell me about the best healthy cooking oil?

Recently I have read about healthy cooking oil in an article in a health magazine, and I could infer from it, that healthy cooking oil is a quintessential part of cooking. Nonetheless, I get really confused when I have to choose a healthy cooking oil, as the details mentioned on the back of the pack, use jargons like refined, filtered, unsaturated fats, saturated fat, and more such things, that I am not able to evaluate which could be the best! Therefore, I want to know about the best healthy cooking oil with the brands providing it? Can somebody please advice?

With so many varieties and brands which are flooding the market today. It is really difficult to buy the right kind of cooking oil for yourself. As you will enter a departmental store you will see an array of cooking oils sporting all types of jargons on their packaging be it the saturated fats, unsaturated fats, refined, filtered, ricebran oil and vanaspati. The best cooking practice is to try and cut down on your volume of cooking oil. The different types of fats available to you include:

1. Unsaturated fats

These are considered to be good for your health as they do not increase the levels of your bad cholesterol.

2. The monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA)

It refers to a healthy fatty acid that lowers the levels of your bad cholesterol and triglycerides without lowering your good cholesterol levels.

3. Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid (PUFA)

These will be lowering the levels of your good and bad cholesterol. It is not all that beneficial as lower levels of good cholesterol will increase your risk of developing a heart disease.

Various brands which are available to you include:

1. Ylang oil brand

2. Athena brand olive oil

3. MP brand super coconut oil and lots more.
