Can you please tell me a few healthy eating food recipes which could help reducing weight?


My teenage daughter simply loves to binge on junk food. I have tried to explain on several occasions that it will result in various health problems, including obesity, but she doesn't seem to care. Lately, one of her friends advised her to include some healthy eating food recipes in her diet, which would help her reduce weight. I am not familiar with such food or recipes, which are healthy and effective in reducing weight. Could someone please advice of a few such healthy eating food recipes, that could help my daughter reduce some pounds? Thanks.

I understand your concern for being a parent of a teenage daughter. Your daughter is just like other common American teens who just like to munch too much junk or fast food without realizing what it will cause them in long run. Moreover, lack of physical activity is causing several problems to them also. Girls specially undergo some physical changes from adolescent age that often make them healthy and fatty. With this, food habit and inactivity can cause diseases like type 2 diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, asthma, gallbladder, kidney disease, nerve damage, gastrointestinal disorders, orthopedic problems and heart disease in the long run. You have to make your daughter aware of these dangers too. But, one thing which I can tell you for sure is that, only change in the food habit won't decrease the weight. Your daughter has to carry out exercise with this. Simple free hands at home like stretching and bending as well as jogging in the morning will do. Moreover, if your daughter is figure conscious then she can enroll to some exercise club or gym for women. Aerobics are very good exercises for women to get into shape. Now for some low fat free healthy eating food recipes for obese girls:

Chicken salad - Prepare the salad by combining mixed baby green, purple onion, green bell peppers, carrots, apple slice, shredded sharp cheddar cheese (2 tablespoon) and top it with warm grilled chicken strips.

Grilled salmon with green beans and carrots is excellent for dinner.

Fruit plate which can be made refreshing with fat free cottage cheese, fresh strawberries, orange slices and blue berries. With this add a square of dark chocolate fruit to provide fiber and vitamin.

A bowl of black beans also provide enough fiber.

Veggie stir fry with various vegetable and a table spoon of olive oil offers maximum nutritious value according to US Department of Agriculture. Moreover, you can add broccoli, unpeeled sweet potato, red bell pepper, purple onion, yellow squash to make it colorful and more tasty.

Warm chicken strips to heated taco shell is also a fat free tasty food.
