Can anyone share a healthy veggie pizza recipe?


My daughter likes eating pizza a lot, and she always asks me to make vegetarian pizza for her at home. I have searched a lot for the recipe but every recipe which I have got, is made using lot of cheese and oil. I want a kind of recipe which is healthy for her. I don’t want her to put on unnecessary weight. So, I was wondering if anyone out here can tell me veggie pizza recipe which is healthy and yet yummy?

Every one likes Pizza. But, one thing they should be careful about is their health. You should be away from cheese and oil. It is possible to make vegetarian Pizza with little amount of oil in it, which may not cause any problem to your health.

Ingredients:

  1. 2-1/2 cups of flour.
  2. 1/2 cup of wheat flour.
  3. 2 packages (1/4 ounce each) of quick-rise yeast.
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
  5. 1 cup warm water of range (120 to 130 degrees).
  6. 2 table spoons of Olive Oil.

Sauce:

  1. 1 can of (14-1/2) ounces) diced tomatoes which are undrained.
  2. 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley.
  3. 1-1/2 teaspoons sugar.
  4. 1-1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning.
  5. 1-1/2 teaspoons dried basil.
  6. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
  7. 1/4 teaspoon pepper.
Toppings:

  1. 1 cup chopped zucchini.
  2. 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms.
  3. 1/4 cup each chopped onion, green and sweet red pepper.
  4. 1 teaspoon Olive Oil.
  5. 1-1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese.

Steps to be followed:

  1. Take a large bowl and add first five ingredients and add water along with little oil. Mix it until it is smooth. Do it until it is elastic and smooth about 5 minutes. Place it in a greased bowl. Cover it and place it in a warm place for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile take sauce ingredients in a bowl. Reduce the heat , make it uncover and stir it for 15 minutes and remove from heat.
  3. Take the dough and divide it into two halves. Each part is to be rolled as 12 inch circle. Transfer it to two greased 12 inch pizza pans. Now, bake the dough at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly drowned.
  4. In small skillet keep vegetables along with little oil. Spread pizzas with sauce and sprinkle vegetables. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Now cut pizzas into two pieces.
