What are some heart healthy recipes for diabetic patient?

My father has diabetes and heart problem as well. I want to know some good healthy heart recipe for him. I don’t want to take any risk with his health as he sometimes complains minor pain in his chest. Till now I was giving him normal food but I think I should give him food which is less in cholesterol and drinks which are sugar free. I want to know some good and heart healthy recipes which I can make for my father. He will never compromise with the taste, so I want to know those recipes which are healthy yet tasty?
