Ingredients you will need

  • The Basic ingredients that you will need are- all purpose flour 2 cups, 2 and a quarter cups full of white sugar, 1 cup of bitter cocoa powder, 2 teaspoon full of baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon salt, 2 eggs, 1 cup of cold espresso, 1 cup fresh buttermilk and ½ cup vegetable oil.
  • For the dark chocolate frosting you will need some more ingredients like ½ a cup unsalted, melted butter, 6 cups full of sugar dust or powdered sugar, vanilla extract and 2/3 cups of milk.

Procedure of making Black Velvet Cake

You have to get the oven pre-heated at 350 Fahrenheit and spray the non-stick cooking spray on 9 inch round pans. Keep the round pan aside and ready for use. Make sure all the ingredients are near you. Take a big bowl and mix the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda together. Put the cocoa and sugar in the mix and whisk it properly. Make a little place in the middle of the dry ingredients and pour in the liquids like espresso, milk, oil and eggs. The next thing to do is whisk the whole mixture till it is smooth. Put the mixture into the already prepared pan. For Bundt pans you will need to bake for 35 to 40 minutes and for the round pans 25 minutes are sufficient. Mix the powdered sugar, vanilla, milk, cocoa in a separate bowl. Cool the cake and then garnish it with the mixture made later.
