Indian cuisine are very good but everyone has different point of view. I have eaten Indian cuisine many times and I really liked it. The ingredient are 750 gms of Prawns, 1 large Onions, ground to a paste, 2 small Onions which are sliced finely,2 tbsp of Chilli paste, 2 Bay leaves , 1 cup of thick Coconut Milk, 1 cup of thin (milk can be extracted from one large coconut, or tinned coconut milk may also be used), 2 to 5 Green Cardamom. The procedure is as follows.
- Wash and dry your prawns in a kitchen towel. Set it aside.
- Heat oil in a wok (In India which is also called kadai). Add bay leaves and then green cardamom and fry for a few minutes.
- Add some sliced onions and then fry till golden brown. Then add little ground onion paste and then the chillie paste.
- Fry it for several minutes adding little water, as necessary, to prevent your masala from burning.
- Add your prawns. Stir thoroughly and then add your thin coconut milk.
- Keep it simmering in high heat till the gravy reduces to a half. Add little salt to taste.
- Finally add thick coconut milk in it and simmer in medium heat for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Serve it hot with rice.
- Enjoy your Coconut Prawn Gravy. Hope you love this Indian recipe.
