How do I introduce kefir drink in my family's diet? Can I make it at home itself?

I am not so well aware of the new drinking stuff that keep emerging up in the market every other day. Well I have two kids, twelve and fourteen respectively and have a loving but an overweight husband. I have heard a lot about the kefir drink and want to now introduce it in my family. But I have lots of doubt in my mind about it. Can you tell me how do I introduce the kefir drink in my family's diet? Can I make it at home itself? What if I’m lactose intolerant, and don’t go for dairy? Or don’t digest milk products very well, is kefir right for me then? What do you suggest?

Some people thrive on kefir right from the start and other may need to proceed towards it more slowly. Remember that people with candidacies lack milk digesting bacteria so you may have to the build up your tolerance of kefir. Begin your day with about four ounces in the morning on empty stomach. Every second day increase the amount of it until you are able to drink a full eight ounce glass. More than that you are just beginning the therapeutic version of the body ecology Diet health recovery program. It might be best to wait three to six months before introducing kefir. You may first need to be clear about your body accumulated toxins and see your symptoms disappear. Moreover people with candidacies have what Chinese medicine calls the condition of dampness. Thank you
