Can I learn from the pictures of cooking food?

I want to learn from looking at the pictures of cooking food only but that seems impossible right now but just like my aunt I will also gain that much expertise one day to be able to cook by looking at the pictures. If anyone of you have any tips on this that will help me learn this art then please share it with me?There's one more thing that I need to ask you is the perfect way of making the California shortbread bars? I really want to learn to make the bars and serve it on my mother's birthday. Please help me out.

There is no perfect technique of learning cooking just by looking at its pictures. So don't worry about it whenever you will achieve the expertise like your aunt you will be able to cook by looking at the pictures itself like all great chefs. I am going to tell you the recipe of California Shortbread Bars. The ingredient are 1 cup (250 mL) of butter,1 cup (250 mL) of light brown sugar,1 egg yolk,1 tsp (5 mL) of vanilla extract,1/2 tsp (2 mL) of grated orange peel,1/4 tsp (1 mL) of almond extract,2 cups (500 mL) of flour. The procedure is as follows. Cream the butter with brown sugar until it is light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk. Beat in the vanilla extract, orange peel and the almond extract. Stir it in flour and ½ cup (125 mL) of almonds. Spread this dough into a well greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350°F (180°C) degrees for about 25 minutes, or until it is golden brown. Remove it from oven, sprinkle some top evenly with some chocolate chips. Return the pan to your oven for about 30 seconds. Remove it from oven and spread melted chocolate evenly over the surface. Sprinkle with remaining ½ (125 mL) of cup almonds. Cool it. Cut into bars to serve.
