Less than 100 calorie cookie recipes

There are various types of cookies which are a very good choice for you to enjoy in breakfast or brunch. Cookies basically have higher calories, but there are some which have less than 100 calories and 4-5 grams of fat. These types of cookies are very healthy and delicious too. So if you like to enjoy cookies, check out these five low calorie cookie recipes and enjoy them with your friends or family.


1. Oatmeal raisin cookies

Complexity: Easy

Time required: 25-30 minutes.

Calories per cookie: 25

Ingredients:

  • Flour: ½ cup
  • Baking powder: 1 tsp
  • Sugar: 4 tsp
  • Brown sugar: 2/3 cup
  • Salt: ¼ tsp
  • Raisin: ½ cup
  • Applesauce: ½ cup
  • Light butter: 1 tsp
  • Vanilla extract: 1tsp
  • Egg whites: 2
  • Oatmeal: 1 2/3 cup

Making the dish: Follow these steps for making Oatmeal raisin cookies:

a. Take flour, both types of sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a medium size bowl and mix them.

b. Take egg whites, vanilla, butter, and applesauce in another bowl and mix them well.

c. Add both flour and egg mixture slowly, also add oats and raisins and mix them.

d. Take baking sheet which is greased and place mixture in amount of 1 tsp on it; flatten it a little bit.

e. Bake it for 10 minutes in a preheated oven up to 350°F. After half of the cooking time, turn around the cookies. Then, cool them on a cooking rack.

2. Chocolate chip cookies

Complexity: Easy

Time required: 20-25 minutes.

Calories per cookie: 41

Ingredients:

  • Flour: 1cup
  • Baking soda: ½ tsp
  • Salt: 1/8 tsp
  • Soft light butter: ¼ cup
  • Brown sugar: ½ cup
  • Sugar: ½ tsp
  • Cocoa: 1/3 cup
  • Egg whites: 2
  • Choc chip: 1/3 cup

Making the dish: Follow these steps for making Chocolate chip cookies:

a. In a big bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt. Add cream, butter and brown sugar slowly until it gets fluffy; mix well.

b. Now add sugars, cocoa, egg and flour; mix them.

c. Take 2 inches rounded tea spoon, spoon out the mixture and place it on a baking sheet which is coated with cooking spray.

d. Bake it for 10 minutes in a preheated oven up to 350°F. Make the pan cool and remove cookies from it.

3. Sugar cookies

Complexity: Very easy

Time needed: 20-25 minutes.

Calories per cookie: 50

Ingredients:

  • Sugar: 1 ½ cup
  • Butter: ½ cup
  • Egg white: 1
  • Egg: 1
  • Fat free milk: 2 tsp
  • Flour: 3 ¼ cup
  • Baking powder: 2 ½ tsp
  • Salt: ¼ tsp
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tsp

Making the dish: Follow these steps for making Sugar cookies:

a. Mix sugar in light and fluffy cream butter, add egg white, egg vanilla and milk in it and mix well.

b. Shape it into a log by using your hand and wrap it into saran wrap for 2 hours. Now spoon out and place on greased cookie sheet.

c. Bake it for 8 minutes at 400°F. Cool it on a cooking rack.

4. Peanut butter cookies

Complexity: Easy

Time required: 30 minutes.

Calories per cookie: 45

Ingredients:

  • Fat free peanut butter: ½ cup
  • Unsweetened applesauce: ½
  • Splenda: 8 tsp
  • Brown sugar: ½ cup
  • Egg: 1
  • Salt: ½ tsp
  • Baking powder: ½ tsp
  • Vanilla extract: ½ tsp
  • Flour: 1 cup

Making the dish: Follow these steps for making Peanut butter cookies:

a. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a bowl. In another bowl, combine vanilla, egg, sugar, splenda, applesauce and peanut butter.

b. Now add flour mixture into peanut mixture and mix until they blend well.

c. Spoon out by teaspoon on greased baking sheet. Bake it for 8 minutes at 325°F.

5. Almond Macaroons

Complexity: Easy

Time required: 1- 20 minutes.

Calories per cookie: 31

Ingredients:

  • Egg white: 1 large
  • Sugar: ¼ tsp
  • Almond: 1 tsp extracted
  • Wheat germ: ¼ cup
  • Shredded coconut

Making the dish: Follow these steps for making Almond Macaroons:

a. Beat egg white with sugar and extract. Fold it into wheat germ in a large bowl.

b. Spoon out 1 tsp amount and drop on greased baking sheet.

c. Bake it for one hour at 200°F then cool it on cooking rack.
