Hello...Your friend is absolutely correct, in this regard and I would like to add that if it is not treated seriously, it can give rise to peptic ulcer in future and you may have to pay a heavy price. I don't have any intention to scare you, I beg your pardon if I have done so, but I just want you to take a serious note of it, by notifying you the consequences otherwise. The most important initiative towards curing this gastric problem, is by changing food habits. Here I provide you a list of food stuffs, that you should avoid :-
- Avoid alcohol consumption
- Spices, specially black and red pepper and chili powder, that may cause a burning irritation in the stomach.
- Avoid coffee and all other carbonated drinks, as they causes acid secretions.
- Avoid consuming refined food stuffs, such as breads, pastas and sugar
- Try and avoid food items having high percentage of cholesterol content, such as in cakes, pastries, margarines, etc. You can consume them after reducing the content of cholesterol in them.
- You can eat red meat, but very limited.
- Avoid canned or packaged foods and fat dairy products
Try to avoid the above mentioned things. I am aware of the fact that they are very much alluring, but health comes first, so can't put it at stake. Take a good care of yourself. Have a happy living.
