Is making prawn and avocado cocktail for the holidays a good idea, how can I do so?

I am so bored of the regular baked recipes that we try out each year during the holidays and I am, now, searching for some new and fresh ideas. What do you think is making some prawns and avocado cocktail?How can I do so? What all ingredients will I need to make this cocktail? Can you also suggest some wines that will go well with such a seafood themed brunch? Any ideas and suggestions from you guys would be highly appreciated.
