Why does my pizzas come out hard and burnt from the sides and raw on the inside?

I gained interest in making pizzas at home by playing the pizza cooking online games for girls. Although I am going wrong somewhere in the procedure because of which my pizzas come out hard and burnt from the sides and raw on the inside. How do I correct it? Where am I goofying up while making the dough and with the temperature? I follow all the instructions I copied from the net but still am facing this.
