Candy bars are a favorite of everyone. Bars can be the most soothing comfort food or suitable for celebrating. They range from dark chocolate, milk chocolate, fruits, nuts, peanut butter chocolate or energy bars.

1. Snickers

What makes it popular?

Snickers chocolate bar is an excellent blend of caramel, peanuts, and nougats with a chocolate cover. It was first made in 1930 and named after the Mars Company’s favorite horse. Since last century it is one of the most popular and best selling chocolate bars. Snickers got the recipe right with its peanuts and caramel making it a favorite among all the children as well as the grownups.

2. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

What makes it popular?

These finger licking delicacies are an invention of H. B. Reese who used Hershey chocolate while making them. In the 1960s, Hershey Company took over the Reese’s company and has been marketing the Reese’s Peanut Butter cups since then. These candies have rich peanut butter filling with the chocolate layer on the outside. It is the mixture of these two key ingredients that make it so delectable.

3. Kit Kat

What makes it popular?

Kit Kat dates back to the 1930s when it was manufactured by Rowntree’s. The candy bar consists of layers of wafers with a chocolate covering. They serve as a light snack with a little bit of chocolate. The uniqueness of this bar is that each candy bar is made up of four finger bars. These finger bars can be easily separated and cherished one by one. Kit Kat now comes in many varieties in the market but the original one is still the most favored of all.

4. Milky Way

What makes it popular?

This candy bar was named after the famous malt milk shake of the 1920s. There are two basic versions of this bar: UK & the USA version. In the USA version, it is made up of chocolate malt nougat, caramel and the chocolate cover. But the UK version lacks the caramel layer in the bar. Both the versions are best selling and popular all over the world.

5. 3 Musketeers

What makes it popular?

3 Musketeers gets its name from the three different flavored bars in a single pack. The pack contains chocolate, vanilla and strawberry flavored bars. Later, vanilla and strawberry flavors were discontinued and it was transformed into a single bar of chocolate. This candy bar has a fluffy chocolate in the inside making it distinct and endearing than the other candy bars.

6. Hershey

What makes it popular?

The Hershey bar was created by Logan Hall and Zach Phillips and produced by the Hershey Company. This candy bar has one of its kind sour and tangy tastes making it popular among the Americans especially the U.S Army in the World War I.

7. Toblerone

What makes it popular?

Toblerone is the creation of Theodor Tobler and Emil Baumann from Switzerland. They made this matchless candy bar with honey, almonds, nougat and milk chocolate. The candy bar has been given the triangular shape to resemble the Matterhorn in the Alps.
