What pregnant women should eat during pregnancy?

My wife is 2 month pregnant and this is her first time pregnancy, so she doesn’t know anything about pregnancy? I want to help her out so I just want to create awareness for me regarding what she should eat and what she should not? Please give me list of food items that she can eat during pregnancy and that will not harm our baby as well.

Being pregnant is a wonderful experience that as even my wife was pregnant and during that I learned a lot about pregnancy and the now I think I can advise well on the kinds of foods that pregnant mothers should be having. A pregnant woman requires 300 calories more than a normal woman. The list of foods that are compulsory for pregnant women are seven or more servings of fruits and vegetables. Fruits with Vitamin C helps in healing wounds. These fruits and vegetables include strawberries, melons, tomatoes, cabbage and broccoli. Their dairy product intake should include 4 or more servings of low fat or milk, yogurt and cheese as it contains the calcium that the baby needs for strong teeth and bones. Having breakfast cereals as well as grain products that contain folic acid are good for pregnant women. I hope it helps you too as it helped us having a healthy and cute girl.
