Slow cooker or crock pot refers to a stand-alone appliance/product which has a heating element and a ceramic casserole dish to cook food. The cooking is done with slow, moist heat and is an extended one. The world of food and recipe writers is versatile and loaded with fascinating techniques, equipments and their names. The crock pot gives you the advantage of unattended cooking for long hours, provided the temperature is just appropriate. Many believe the taste to be superior to the usually cooked recipes.

Slow cooking has been practiced since fire was known to mankind. Primarily, it was meant to soften up the tough slabs of meat and other edible items. Ingredients

1. 2 eggs

2. 1/2 lb. elbow macaroni pasta

3. 12 oz. can evaporated milk

4. 1-1/2 cups milk

5. 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

6. 1 cup shredded American cheese

7. 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

8. 1/2 tsp. salt

9. 1/8 tsp. white pepper

10. 1/2 tsp. onion powder (or finely chopped onions)

11. 1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Process

Prepare – Take a slow cooker or crock pot. Put nonstick cooking spray on the inside of the cooker. Take a large bowl and beat the eggs. Mix the fresh and evaporated milks while beating the eggs. Mix together uncooked macaroni, shredded cheese (all three types), salt, pepper, onion and garlic. Combine together everything properly using a spatula.

Cook – Put the mix which you have prepared (as above) into 4 qaurt crock pot. After you have put in the mix, cook uninterrupted over low temperature. Cooking shall be complete in 5-6 hours.

Eat – Enjoy your crock pot macaroni cheesy and fresh. You can cook in advance for a treat due for the evening.

Tips

  • Slow cooker has near boiling temperature food and liquid within. Avoid any contacts to result is serious burns.
  • While cooking, avoid stirring or removing the lid.
  • Be careful with the temperature to avoid burning.
