Will it make a scrumptious mini cheesecake recipe if I use walnut instead of vanilla wafer for the cup cake liner?

Needless to say my kid loves cheesecakes than anything in this world, just like other kids, but I was planning to make mini cheesecake for him and his friends for the Christmas party, to each his own kinds! However, I don’t want to use vanilla wafer this time, therefore, I wanted to know whether a mini cheesecake recipe would be made equally scrumptious as before, if I use walnut paste for the cup cake liner instead of vanilla wafer for the mini cheesecake recipe! Can somebody please advice? I would also like to know what could I keep for a salty dish in accordance to the sweet cakes! Please advice suitably!

Cheese cake crust can be made with vanilla wafers, grahams crackers or even with walnuts. Each has its own distinct taste but the walnut crust has a very unique taste. It is also very good for health.

Here is the recipe for the walnut crust.

Walnut crust

Ingredients

Walnuts - 11/2 cups

Butter - 4tbs

Sugar - 1/4 cup

Process

Take the walnuts and sugar in a processor and pulse till it is finely grounded. Add butter and pulse again till the mixture becomes moist. Right consistency would be when you press the mixture together it must be able to hold. Press the prepared mixture in to the bottom of the pan and bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 12 minutes till it starts lightly browning in the edges. Proceed as per your recipe.

Since it is a kids party, make sure your salty dish is not too spicy. Serving heavy dishes like pasta or hot soups will not be a great idea. Serve them finger foods like corn cheese balls, french fries or baked potato smiley. A cup of colorful corn salad will also be a good choice. Pan fried vegetable pattice with tomato ketchup can also be served.
