Can you share the original Irish stew recipe using the crock-pot with me?

I was trying to prepare the crock-pot Irish stew the other day. Instead of using the Irish spices I used the Chinese ones because the recipe had mentioned Chinese spices instead of the original Irish ones. And since I am not an experienced cook I couldn’t help myself and ended up preparing the recipe I had copied from the net. But later when I served it, it tasted so different and my friends instantly identified the Chinese taste. I felt so cheated and embarrassed. I don't want to follow the recipe of internet anymore. Will you please help me with the original Irish stew recipe using the crock-pot? Please mention all the ingredients and the steps clearly and in a detailed manner.

I love this Crock-Pot Irish Stew. I make this recipe on every Sunday but this does not mean it is a difficult recipe. It is a very easy recipe and short also. Brown the meat in shortening in one large skillet, over medium high to very high heat. Don't cook your meat, just get it slightly brown in color. Combine the browned meat in the crock-Pot with the onion, broth, potato, salt, pepper, celery seed, marjoram, thyme and the carrot. Cover and then cook on low for about 8 to 10 hours or until the meat and the potatoes are done. Dissolve the flour in 1/2 cup of cold water and then add to Crock-Pot with some peas. Cover the Crock Pot, turn to the high and cook for about 15 to 20 minutes.
