Studies report that both the younger generation and the middle age people suffer from liver problems due to excessive drinking. Consuming a lot of alcohol can cause cancer. Not just smoking even alcohol is responsible for mouth cancer. In fact cancer of the liver, digestive and oral track cancers are also reported in people consuming too much of alcohol.

One of the major side effects of excessive alcohol is type 2 diabetes. Alcohol can agitate your pancreas and damage the cells of your body, which in turn reduces your body’s sensitivity towards insulin. Diabetes can lead to a number of other serious physical problems.

Alcohol triggers heart problems as well. It is said that alcohol serves as a cure for heart problems; however excessive alcohol can instead trigger heart problems.
