How can I make my spinach dip recipe healthier?

I make my spinach dip with about 300 gms of the frozen but chopped spinach, about two cups of mayonnaise, half a cup of parsley sprigs, a small onion, some clove garlic, about one tbsp full of the lemon juice and one loaf of wheat bread. I want to make my version of the spinach dip recipe more healthy and light for the body. Can you tell me how can I do so? Any other tips sent by you are equally appreciated.

Hi

To make your healthy spinach dip recipe you can add fresh vegetables like finely chopped carrots, tomatoes, avocados, parsley, mushrooms, boiled potatoes, or any other vegetables you like. Use fat free or low fat cheese or cream rather than regular cheese or cream. To make a healthy spinach dip recipe you need:

Fresh spinach - 1 bunch

Fat free yogurt – 1 cup

Fat free cream cheese – ¼ cup

Onion powder – 1 teaspoon

Garlic powder- 1 teaspoon

Pepper- 1 teaspoon

Salt (according to taste)

Tomato (optional) – 1-2

Red hot pepper sauce- 5-6 teaspoon

Green onions- 2-3

Chopped scallions-3/4 cup

Garlic clove minced- 1

Fresh lemon juice- 1-2 teaspoon

Process:

Take a pan and add water. Add all spinach in it and cook it for some time till it becomes soft. Remove the pan from flame and remove the spinach from hot water. Drain the excess water from spinach using hand or colander. Chop spinach, tomatoes, and green onions finely and keep them aside. Mix yogurt and cheese together in a bowl. Add finely chopped spinach, onions, and tomatoes and mix well. Now add minced garlic clove lemon juice, pepper powder, salt, onion powder, and red hot pepper sauce and chopped scallions. Mix well and keep in refrigerator. Serve chilled.
