Can somebody help me with tasty and healthy snack foods for kids?


My 11 years old kid simply binges on junk food! I know he feels hungry quite soon, due to an active routine, but junk food on a daily basis is nowhere healthy. I want to know about some healthy snack foods, which could be relished by my son for his evening snack time. I want to tell you guys, that he doesn't like soups at all, therefore please recommend something healthy yet delicious. Thanks.

Healthy snacks in diet plan is essential part of every diet plan. For kids it is more important as it is quite difficult for parents to make there child eat regular luch or dinner properly. There are many healthy snacks for kids which you can try like Quick and healthy bean dip, healthy popcorn, roasted chic pea, high fiber diet cookie etc.

You can also choose healthy snacks as per need of the calories. Like from 100 calories or less list you can include apricot canapes, cinnamon oranges, chile con queso, creamy spinach dip, eggcetera, sesame carrots, turkey rollups.

From 150 calories or less you can have avocado tea sandwiches, egg & crispbread, gorp, pineapple-raspberry parfaits, spiced chick pea nuts etc. There is also list of 200 calories and 250 calories snacks that you can opt from. For healthy snacks it is very necessary to include lots of vegetables and fruits in your snacks.

Also, try to include snacks with high dietery fiber because it will help in body's metabolism and hence in reducing weight. There are many sites that you can search which have list of healthy snacks for kids and their recipes like eatingwell, shapefit, allrecipes, myrecipes, etc. Hope you like my suggestions.
