Can anyone translate these French culinary words in English?

I am new in this city and I have some culinary words with me for which I am looking for English meaning. I don’t understand French and I have searched a lot on net to find the meaning of these words but not able to find specific meaning. So I want to ask anyone who knows French and can tell me what does le riz, le mais, le beurre doux, le beuree sale, le motte de beuree means in English. Can anyone help me to find out the solution of my problem? Also tell me how can I manage with English in France?

It gets a little problematic when you are in a country where you do not get to understand their language. But, there is no need to worry as far as you have some friends who may guide you about the basics of that language. So, firstly you may check with some friends in France (if you have managed to make a few friends there) and they would surely inform you about some regular words that are frequently spoken at the places of necessity.

But, if you do not have friends who can translate it for you, there is no need to worry so much. You may get help from free online translators online. You may also search for downloadable dictionaries on the internet that can be saved on your mobile phone for easy and quick access. This could remove your trouble within a little while and to a good extent. Slowly, when you start using these words on a routine basis, you'd also start understanding their meaning and usage in a context. If you wish, you may possibly try taking a few basic French sessions at some language institution. For now, the words that you may wish to know the meanings for are following:

1. le riz: the rice

2. le mais: the corn

3. le beurre doux: the soft/unsalted butter

4. le beuree sale: the butter salts

5. le motte de beuree: the lump of butter
