Can somebody tell me about vitamin a foods?

Our family doctor has asked to include vitamin a in my daughter’s diet now. She is just 17 years of age, and this all is nothing more than the outcome of her several diet plans. She has been prescribed vitamin a supplements; however, being a mother, I want to know about some vitamin a foods, which could be included in her diet. I am quite concerned about her health, and I know she would not like the notion of excessive eating. Thereby, I want to know of some foods which are rich in vitamin a, and would not add much to her weight, although, she weighs just 126lbs and she is 5'7" tall. Please suggest appropriately.

Vitamin A is essential vitamin required for the vision, boosting immune function and great skin health. But you must also know that over consumption of vitamin A can lead to jaundice, loss of appetite, vomiting, and even hair loss.

The recommended amount of vitamin a is 5000 international units. Some of the foods that are high in vitamin a are liver, sweet potatoes, carrots and dark leafy greens. Sweets potatoes are rich in vitamin a there are about 100 gms of vitamin a in a cup of mashed potatoes. Carrots also provide vitamin a. You can eat them raw or you can boil it or eat it. Or you can make crisp, delicious and fresh salad with the help of green leafy greens which are also high in calcium as well.
