Name a yogurt smoothie recipe which does not contain banana in its ingredients?


I saw a yogurt smoothie recipe which includes banana in its ingredients. I am little skeptic and I want to know what is the calorie level of the smoothie which contains banana. Will it be ok to have such smoothie twice in a day? What is the normal level of calorie intake that one can have in day? Can you tell me any other yogurt smoothie recipe which does not contain banana and I s low in calories also, so that I can have it twice or thrice in a day.

Hi!! I love smoothies too.. You can have different varieties of smoothies without bananas and they are healthy versions too that you can try 2 times a day. The calorie content will be around 150-200 calories for a cup. You can reduce the calories by using non-fat milk and also not adding sugar or go for sugar free drops.

Strawberry Peach Soy Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup soy or rice milk
  • 12 strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen peach slices
  • 2 ice cubes

Put all the ingredients and ice cubes in a blender and blend for a minute by pressing the pulse option. Then finish the blending by blending on high mode and enjoy your smoothie without bananas.

Spiced Carrot Smoothie

  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 cup cooked, chopped carrots
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 inch piece of gingerroot, peeled
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt, or to taste
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, or to taste

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend well starting from low to high, do this for a minute or so until you get a rich creamy carrot smoothie. To add further taste season the smoothie with salt and cayenne pepper.
